  4. Important Installation Notes:

  6. This product requires the VB6 Runtime, which should be downloaded from Microsoft at:
  7. http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe (1 MB)

  9. Please install the runtime before running the program. In some cases you may be prompted to reboot once
  10. after installing the runtime.
  11. [ Some systems may not need the runtime or have it already installed. If you get any errors when starting
  12. the program, the missing runtime is likely to be the cause. ]

  14. WinXP and above, users: Good news - The program may run on XP and above without the need to install the vb
  15. runtime because it usually comes with the operating system.

  17. Activation: This product requires activation. Activation is simple, free and performed on our website.

  26. Emsa CD Tray Pal is a handy utility that acts as a CD-ROM Drive control menu. It runs in the system tray 
  27. and makes opening/closing CD door easier than ever, even on multiple CD-ROM drives!

  31. - Runs as system tray icon
  32. - Capable of handling multipe CD-ROM Drives
  33. - OpenCD, CloseCD, GetCD, OpenAll, CloseAll functions
  34. - Handy systray right-click menu
  35. - Provides CD media informaion: Volume name, Size, Serial Number
  36. - Configurable GetCD time interval
  37. - Capable of showing either a single systray icon, or one icon per drive
  38. - Action on system shutdown: Close All / Open All CD doors
  39. - Assignable, system wide Hotkeys per each drive and function - very handy!
  40. - Tray icon(s) changing color based on whether valid media is inside the drive

  43. Installation

  45. Simply unzip the files, and run the main executable. Please read the included text files before actually running the executable.

  49. The program is pretty well self-explanatory... so there is not much to be said, except to play with it and see how it runs. Here are just a few tips:
  50. - There are two ways of popping up the main window - either by double clicking the icon in systray, or by right-click then selecting 'Main Window'
  51. - To assign a hotkey, first select the CD-ROM drive you want to edit from the left hand list on the Hotkeys tab. Then, click on the textbox on the right accordingly with the function you want to assign the hotkey to. Press a keyboard combination that you intend to use as hotkey (for example CTRL + ALT +F5 ). You can do the same for all three hotkeys assigned to the currently selected disk. Once you are satisfied, press the Save Hotkeys button to save them.
  52. - The tray icon changes color from yellow to green when valid media is available in the drive.

  59. Any usual Windows machine with about one mbyte of disk space will do. 800x600 min screen resolution.

  64. and will continue to solve any problems that may appear. However, the program may not be compatible
  65. with all configurations and needs - therefore you have to see whether it works for you, and decide
